THE EXPERIENCE
Every custom Salon Session is a three part event:
- planning session -
- photoshoot -
- in-person print viewing -
Our planning session, held over video chat, allows us to align our visions for your shoot. It’s always easier to show up to a photographer you know rather than a stranger-- so let’s skip being strangers! We will discuss wardrobe, "mood," and inspiration images from my portfolio or elsewhere - all with the goal of creating stunning portraits that you and your family will treasure for generations.
The photoshoot, depending on the package you select, will be at my home studio - the "Salon" - or in the Salon's gardens, which visitors have dubbed "The Sanctuary." These are artistic sessions, both deliberate and relaxed. Plan on several hours to explore variety in setting, lighting, and wardrobe.
The print viewing is when the real magic happens. World-class printing and presentation, for astonishing prints with your choice of final delivery. These prints won’t live in a shoebox in the closet-- they’ll be treasured heirloom art. This is my favorite part: to see you speechless at your own beauty.
All print packages are fully customizable. Most clients invest between $3-8k for a Salon Session and print selection. All sessions include a complimentary planning session and in-person viewing.

Family photoshoots are held at my home studio, both indoors and in the gardens. While these sessions maintain the artistic standards that I insist on for all of my shoots, I also know what it is like to schedule shoots around kids’ naptimes and moods! Family sessions are one hour, so you can beautifully capture this brief phase in your family’s life without committing endless hours to being in front of the camera. I will make recommendations for wardrobe over email in the days leading up to your shoot, and together we will select your studio background and design your schedule. The rose garden will be an option during specific days, so if the gardens are part of your vision please let me know so we can schedule around blooms.
Family shoots are for families with children age 1 and older: if your baby can sit up, these shoots are for you. For newborns, please contact me for my local photographer recommendations.
As in all my shoots, the print viewing is when the magic becomes visible. These prints won’t live in a shoebox in the attic-- they will be family heirlooms for generations. Your family, with all their expressions and the love you share, captured with the most high-caliber printing and presentation. In the end, you'll have a quality time capsule you will treasure more with every passing year.
